Hello Sisters!

Let's raise a tea cup to the fifth anniversary of the Mamma Mia Sisterhood! Please join us for a special pre-Mother's Day gathering with afternoon tea at the Ritz-Carlton in Buckhead. We'll honor our mothers and share friendship and support with each other. If you've never attended a Mamma Mia Sisterhood gathering, this is the perfect occasion to meet your sisters! Afternoon tea at the Ritz-Carlton is our annual tradition on the day before Mother's Day.

We will share casual group discussion on mother loss and especially any issues that come up around Mother's Day. During our gathering, we'll also have "show and tell" if you'd like to share photos or mementos of your mother.

Ask the staff of the Lobby Bar to seat you with the Mamma Mia Sisterhood or Motherless Daughters. The full afternoon tea menu will be available, but you are not obligated to purchase anything. Simply having your company will be a pleasure. (Valet parking is complimentary with any dining room purchases, so don't hesitate to valet park and bring your ticket in for validation. Self parking is not validated.)

See you soon, Sisters!

Cheers,
Leslie

I'm glad that I attended the tea. It was a very uplifting experience! The group consisted of 15 ladies of various ages and backgrounds, but with a strong implicit bond - mother loss. The vibe was one of understanding and support. I will definitely participate in future events!

Saw some familiar faces and met some new people as well. I really enjoyed myself and felt much better equipped to handle Mother's Day after attending the tea.
    •  The tea was lovely. I enjoyed meeting the ladies and having some Mamma Mia time. I live in a testosterone household so it is wonderful when I can be with women. I wish we would have touched more on the various feelings of loss and the impact it has on our lives, but it was what it was and manifested in the way it was meant to be. I am going to attend Jen's event end of May. I am just longing to be with a group of women who just understand the depth of the sadness that is with losing your Mom. How do you work through the tough times? What do you do to remember them? This is my 3rd Mother's Day without my Mom and I am completing my 3rd year without her in June. I so miss her and long for her presence. Thank you for your continued efforts with keeping this event. I look forward to seeing you again and hope to find the space where I can continue working the process of loss. Namaste Dawn

This was the fifth one I attended. It was very nice except for two things: The price of the tea went up since last year and we didn't have as many choices to choose from. (That was not the fault of the planner. It was something the hotel changed and we didn't know about it in advance.) Also, because we were at two tables it was a little hard to interact with the ladies who were at the second table. I felt as if they were not a part of the group. Otherwise, I thought it was very nice.
