October Meeting Picnic

Hello Everyone!

I have reserved the Northeast Ramada at El Dorado Park in Scottsdale. I know that this is a short notice but I would love it if you can attend.

I would like to ask for everyone to bring an item for the picnic. We can have a BBQ or cold sandwiches, chips, salad and dessert! I will provide the paper plates, napkins, plasticware and water.

UPDATE - Movie: Julie & Julia!

Hi Everyone!

We had several votes for "Julie and Julia", so let's go see it. I've heard good reviews about it. Can't wait to see it. I'll be holding a "meet-up" sign right inside the doorway......since it's still 100+ degrees, I don't think I will be waiting outside...LOL.

The movie starts at 2:00 pm. I will get there early so I can pass out the gold tickets. Please try to make it somewhat early, so we can get good seats. I will like to go in about 15 minutes before the movie starts.

The movie will be at the AMC at Westgate in Glendale, as I have 4 free Gold tickets to use there. The first 3 people to reply YES will get a free ticket.

BBQ & June's Motherless Daughters Meeting

Blair has graciously opened her home to this event and we will make it a BBQ, along with our meeting. Thanks so much Blair!

This is a chance to meet with other ladies who have lost their mother's, share your story and give/receive support. I sure hope many of you can make it.

Paint-on-Pottery

Is anyone insterested in painting on pottery at As You Wish? I'd done this a couple of times in the past and it's a lot of fun.

I think it would be great if we could all get together and pick a project to paint.

I know it's been a while since we've had a meet-up. So, how about we have a Motherless Daughers Meet-up on Saturday, May 9th. It's the day before Mother's Day. I know this will be an emotional time for everyone.

I've sure missed you ladies! I hope this finds everyone well. My apologies for not having a March Meet-Up.

I would like to have a meet-up on Saturday, April 18th 2 3pm. However, I do not have a place in mind yet.

Would anyone like to volunteer their home for this meet-up?

I've received a couple of suggestions for our future meet-ups too, that I will bring up on 4/18. A winery tour and a weekend Laughlin trip.

I look forward to seeing many of you at our next meet-up. I will bring some refreshments. If you would like to bring something too, just let me know.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for topics, please let me know that as well.

Let's try something new for the group! Bring your family and friends and let's go bowling. It's great fun and good exercise. This will be a good chance for your family and friends to meet the other Motherless Daughters in our group.

UPDATE! The 1/17 meet-up will be at 2pm instead of 3. I hope you can all still make it!!!

I am hoping and praying that 2009 will be a good year for us all.

Our first meet-up of 2009 will be at Blair's home. If you reply with a "Yes" or a "Maybe", then I can e-mail Blair's address and phone directly to you.

If you can bring a beverage or food item, that would be great. We love to have some snacks/food and beverages before our meet-ups.
