What members are saying

It was really good to meet other women who lost their mothers, to talk and to listen to their stories.

Anya

It is an opportunity to speak to others like you. It helps you realize you are not alone.

I am finding now after about a year after my loss, I am needing people to discuss it with again and people who can relate, so this group might be helpful to me.

I lost my Mom just over 2 months ago and am struggling to come to grips with it. I am at the point where I have accepted it but am finding it very difficult not to have her in my life. I want to pick up the phone to call her to share news or advice

HI Amy, Welcome to the group! This is quite a supportive enviroment to share and learn from each other. I am the factilitator for the group and a trained, registered social worker/psychotherapist. There are about 8 women that attend this group regularily and lots of new people that come each time so you won't be alone in starting this June meeting. Looking forward to meeting you on June 23rd. sincerely, Catherine Coyle, MSW RSW

Hi, I'm 35 and I lost my mother to cancer when I was 8 years old. I've been looking for a group like this for awhile now & I'm hoping it will be a place where I can connect with others who are living without a mother.

Hi, my name is Teresa. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 19 and that was more then a decade ago... Most of my friends can't relate to my experience. Looking forward to meet someone who can understand how I feel...

My mom died suddenly when I was 18. I have two sisters, but we live far apart and it can be hard without another woman to relate to. I'd like to talk to people who "get it", you know?
