Really Good Motherless Daughter Blog

I'm a motherless daughter, and have been for a while now. I love that this organization exists and Hope Edelman's book has always been a huge help to me. I think that knowing there are other women out there like me has helped more than anything.

I wanted to recommend my favorite motherless daughter blog: Claire Bidwell Smith's Life in Chicago (http://lifeinla.typep.... She actually lost both of her parents to cancer -- her mother when she was 18 and her father when she was 25. She started her blog 5 years ago when her dad was dying and now she's 30 and married and pregnant with her first baby. She's really an amazing writer and I can always relate to so much of what she talks about.

She just wrote an amazing letter to her mother on the 12 year anniversary of her death. http://lifeinla.typep...
